Building Body, Heart, and Mind

An ancient philosophy for the modern entrepreneur

I was showing the summer intern how I use a digital calendar as a todo list and a second brain.

He asked me why I merge my personal calendar with my business calendar.

“None of this business would exist without a healthy body and a healthy mind.”

I feel like there are lots of contents around this world about bodybuilding and getting smarter.

But not enough lessons on cultivating love and nurturing your heart.

What brought you bliss?

What made you feel like you are in love?

How could you bring more love into every step of your journey?

The love you have for yourself, your coworkers, and the mission you set out to do for the world.

How to use love to prevent burnouts and personal injury?

A few simple habits I find helpful:

  • Cherish everyday even if there is no Big Win that day
  • Cheer myself up for putting in the hard work, even when I make mistakes
  • Forgive early and often
  • Spend time for my hobbies
  • Take more breaks
  • Schedule time for meaningful relationships. Turn them into routines.
  • Do not feel bad about break and recovery
  • Practice non-attachment to my goals
  • Learn other people's love languages
  • Listen to romantic instrumental music
  • Say “I appreciate you” often

Your heart will take you to more places than your mind could ever imagine.
